The GLOCAL is at the center of a global network of scholarship on Linguistic Anthropology, and Language and Society (https://glocal.soas.ac.uk/associated-bodies/), Its projects, events, and media, hold great significance for academics in Linguistic Anthropology, including its flagship journals, The JAFALA (The Journal of African Linguistic Anthropology), The JALA (The Journal of Asian Linguistic Anthropology), the JOMELA (The Journal of Mediterranean and European Linguistic  Anthropology), and the MEALA-J (The Journal of Middle Eastern Linguistic Anthropology).
